Holland Circular Hotspot and the Consulate-General of The Netherlands in Düsseldorf are organizing a joint webinar about this on 7 October. The webinar highlights the latest developments and innovations in the field of chemical recycling, but also show practical examples of how cross-border cooperation between the Netherlands and the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia can stimulate the growth towards a circular plastics sector.
The program includes overview presentations of the state of affairs in the field of chemical recycling in Germany and the Netherlands, zooming in on technology, market, economy and environmental impact. For example, Willem Sederel, chairman of Circular Biobased Delta, discusses chemical recycling in the Netherlands and highlights ways of developing future cooperation with Germany. Conversely, a speaker from the innovation platform IN4Climate looks at the state of affairs in Germany. Maarten Stolk, business developer at Ioniqa, talks about the hard lessons that this successful Dutch start-up has learned in PET recycling.
The government perspective is discussed by Arnoud Passier of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and by Reinhold Rünkerv of the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Digitization and Energy of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
