On 17 May, the final event of the European project BIOSWITCH will take place. This BBI JU-funded project, started in 2020, aims to stimulate brand manufacturers to switch from fossil-based to bio-based products. A practical toolbox has been developed for this purpose.

After two years, it is time to conclude the project with an (online) closing event, divided into two parts. In the morning, the consortium partners will present the project results, elaborating on how the BIOSWITCH Toolbox can support brand manufacturers but also other crucial actors in accelerating the implementation of bio-based value chains. During an exclusive panel discussion, experts from the Bio-Based Industries Consortium (BIC), Topsoe, Circa Group and CLIB will also elaborate on the current urgency of a biobased transition, testify on self-experienced stumbling blocks in implementing value chains, and bring a ‘call-to-action’ for cooperation on biobased solutions.

In the afternoon, there will be a training session in which the use of the toolbox developed during BIOSWITCH will be discussed in more detail and how it can contribute to the practical process of building a biobased value chain, determining the sustainability and market introduction of biobased products.

Participation in the closing event is free of charge.
