On 16 February, the Biobased Economy Knowledge Centre of Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen will conclude its lecture series 'Will Degrowth Save the World' with a brainstorming session on how to move forward with degrowth.

Unrestrained economic growth can no longer be sustained, argues Professor of Biobased Business Valorization Egbert Dommerholt. It is destroying the earth. How can a turnaround be achieved and what are the consequences for science, business, education, law and society?

The Biobased Economy Knowledge Centre organised four lectures on this subject in recent months. During the closing session, participants will discuss how different parts of society can work together to enable a fair and sustainable economic system. What concrete steps are needed to achieve this?

The brainstorm will be led by Marrit Nijdam, a professional in communication management and change management. She uses creative and collaborative methods to generate ideas.

Participation in the closing event is free of charge and can only take place in-person, not online.
