In this webinar, professor Jappe de Best (Avans University of Applied Sciences) will talk about the WOW project: “Wider business Opportunities for raw materials from Wastewater: bioplastics, biochar and biodiesel”. Professor Luewton Agostinho (NHL Stenden, Van Hall Larenstein UAS) will talk about “Water and Plastics: Reflections about risks, recovery and challenges”. Larima Silva Mendonca (HZ UAS) will talk about the NEREUS Interreg 2 Seas project “New energy and resources from urban sanitation”. And Edwin Loman (Recell) will talk about biocomposites made from cellulose recovered from waste water: “Recell, enabling green production”.
After the presentations, there will be an opportunity for a Q&A session on biobased research topics among the participants.
Living Lab
The Living Lab Biobased Brazil is a consortium of Dutch and Brazilian universities, companies and governments, founded in 2014. The purpose is to further internationalize higher education in both countries, by improving student and professor mobility, stimulating innovation developments through joint education and applied research programs and developing other projects, all of this with a focus on the biobased economy in the Netherlands and in Brazil.
