In the six years of its existence, the Biorizon Shared Research Center in Bergen op Zoom has made important steps in research into functional bio-aromatics. Promising lines of research come from the lab and are now ready for upscaling, or have already started.
During the Biorizon Event these will be discussed, within an international context. Particular attention is paid to the progress that Biorizon has made together with industrial partners in the technological development of functionalized bio-aromatics in three research directions (“horizons”): thermochemistry, lignin and carbohydrates/furans.
