The main objective of the BAFTA (Bio-Aromatics Feedstock and Technology Assessment) project is to have a comprehensive study on different aspects (technology, feedstock, freedom-to-operate) needed to assess the economic viability of a bio-aromatics demo-plant in Flanders, with emphasis on the applied technology. Focus of the project will be on lignin (waste) and wood biomass.
