Specialty bio-aromatics fulfill a special function in the end product. “In many cases, they can create better properties than could be achieved with petrochemical aromatics,” says Roger Blokland, founder and executive director of Relement. “The fact that they are biobased is the bonus that our customers receive. That is a much better proposition than just that it is better for the planet.”
