After this HBO programme, it is possible to take an accelerated master’s programme in Polymer Engineering with a focus on sustainable polymers, allowing VWO students to obtain their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in just 5 years.

Current themes

The new bachelor’s programme Green Chemistry will provide innovative knowledge and skills to promote a more sustainable world. This study programme focuses on topical themes such as:

  • Environmentally friendly materials: development of alternatives to traditional raw materials;
  • Circular processes: research into converting waste into valuable raw materials;
  • Resource efficiency: strategies for reducing waste.

Practical and future-oriented

The Green Chemistry pathway involves hands-on projects in cooperation with leading companies in industry. The knowledge gained is applied to real sustainability issues and research is carried out within the NHL Stenden Lectureship Circular Plastics. The programme meets the growing need for sustainability in the chemical industry.
