“This acquisition supports our commitment to build a global platform for waste and residual raw materials that can keep pace with the growing global demand for renewable products,” said Peter Vanacker, President and CEO of Neste.

Both companies have been working together for a long time in the Rotterdam port area, with Count Terminal storing, refining and mixing sustainable waste and residues based on raw materials. Neste Demeter supplied them to the Neste biorefinery in Rotterdam, one of the largest and most advanced sustainable diesel refineries in the world. Last year, Neste, originally a Finnish company, opened a new office in Hoofddorp that serves as the global hub for the growing Renewable Aviation business (jet fuel).
