The conference is a three-day event in which the connection is made between the academic and industrial world. The emphasis is therefore on networking to come up with new innovative solutions to today’s challenges. This year the ABC Conference of the Aachen-Maastricht Institute for Biobased Materials (AMIBM) will be included for the first time in the Polymer Conference, which has been around since 1985.

In addition to AMIBM, Brightlands, the Province of Limburg, Maastricht University, RWTH Aachen, DSM and SABIC were responsible for the organization of the Brightlands Rolduc Polymer Conference. More than ten researchers and leaders from the business community are taking the stage, including from Dutch and Western European universities and from large companies such as DSM, SABIC, Evonik and Johnson & Johnson. One of the keynote speakers this year is the American professor Robert Grubbs, winner of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
