Brightlands Rolduc Polymer Conference 2019 will be held from 9-11 september in Kerkrade. This year's theme is: Innovative Polymer Materials for Future Health.

Polymers are increasingly used in highly demanding biomedical applications, such as body compatible scaffolds for tissue engineering or in drug delivery. In addition, packaging of drugs requires high safety standards and barrier properties depending on special polymeric materials.

Brightlands Rolduc Polymer Conference creates a platform for academic polymer scientists and industrial researchers working on polymeric materials. At the conference they can meet and link the societal and industrial materials needs of tomorrow with the fundamental and scientific knowledge in the field of polymers.

The conference is held in Rolduc Abbey, in the south of the Netherlands close to Maastricht. The Abbey buildings give the conferences an intimate atmosphere, with plenty of time for inspiring conversations.

Brightlands Rolduc Polymer Conferences are international conferences with a long tradition. The first Rolduc Polymer Conference was held in 1985 and many edition have since followed. In 2017, the conference was revived in collaboration with Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Geleen. In 2019 there will be a collaboration with the Aachen-Maastricht Institute for Biobased Materials (AMIBM) for the first time.
