The following topics will be discussed:
- The basic principles of biorefinery and their role in addressing environmental problems;
- How innovative processes such as biomass fractionation, lignin depolymerisation, and biofuel production work;
- Real-life examples of biobased plastics, sustainable fuels, and drop-in chemicals.
In addition, TNO and Vertoro will explain how they are developing directly applicable technologies. This is the perfect opportunity to see how the gap between fossil industries and biobased alternatives can be bridged.
The workshop is funded by the EU’s Just Transition Fund (JTF) and is free of charge to anyone with an interest in sustainable technologies: students, researchers, policymakers, companies, and technicians. Lunch is included. The workshop will be in English.
