ecoSTP23 aims to discuss the latest cutting-edge eco-technologies for a sustainable transition in wastewater treatment, reuse, and resource recovery, at urban and industrial scale, giving special attention to the efficient transfer of knowledge into practice.
The 4-day conference will include keynote presentations (one from academia, one from industry), daily plenary sessions with invited world-wide recognized speakers, platform and poster sessions, workshops in the afternoon to debate about open questions in our field, specialized courses and guided technical visits. ecoStP23 will host a diverse audience represented by researchers, technology providers, consulting engineering firms, and utilities.
Some of the main topics are: I) emerging technologies and processes, II) decentralized strategies, III) resource recovery and safe use, IV) digitalization, and V) economic, environmental and social footprint. The workshops will focus on I) full-scale experiences in the implementation of new ecotechnologies, II) the hydro-social cycle and the socio-political aspects and the human dimension of water, and III) wastewater-based epidemiology and the ethics of AI application in the water domain.
