COP27 seems to revolve primarily around developing countries pointing at developed countries when it comes to climate problems. They want money. The major world economies have little appetite for this, however. The US are reluctant, Europe prefers to pass the bill to 2024 and China still considers itself a developing country.

Belgian chemical industry trade association essenscia stresses that such incorporation is necessary for a healthy future of the chemical industry. There are plenty of opportunities for Europe to play a key role in sustainable production and innovation in this field. In order to achieve a climate-neutral economy and society, innovations and products from the chemical and plastics industry are indispensable, essenscia said.
