The ‘Pitch Perfect’ event is a one day physical event of intense cross-border pitching, matchmaking and networking, with the aim to create new partnerships for the future and the further development of innovative, cross-border and cross-sectoral industrial value chains in the biobased economy.
The day will start with a keynote lecture by investor Rob van der Meij (Capricorn Ventures), followed by three times two parallel pitch sessions of 90 minutes each. The detailed pitch programme will be released one week prior to the event. Throughout the day, one-on-one matchmaking meetings of 15 minutes each will be ongoing. Those can be scheduled in advance by an online matchmaking system. The programme leaves sufficient time for intense networking and innovation scouting in the spacious exhibition area.
This pitching, matchmaking and networking event brings together the networks of six important bioeconomy platforms: Pilots4U, Tech4Biowaste, BioeconomyVentures, Smartbox, Waste2Func and Bio Base Connect. As such a diverse attendance can be guaranteed, reaching from investors, SMEs, start-ups, about-to-be start-ups, scale-ups, large companies, research organisations, technology providers to organisations offering relevant innovation services such as access to finance, scale-up trials, application testing, business plan writing, feedstock analysis, life cycle assessment, social acceptance, etc.
Submit your pitch!
Participants are invited to submit a pitch application by e-mail, latest by September 20th, 2021 to Katrien Molders. Six pitch sessions of 90 minutes each are organised, so there is room for at least 66 inspiring pitches. Not to exclude any interesting developments, pitch categories are not defined upon registration but should be relevant for further development of the bioeconomy.
Pitch abstracts have already been received from Aarhus University (Denmark); Anacarda Ltd (Belgium); Avecom (Belgium); B4Plastics (Belgium); Bioenergy LT (Lithuania); DNAlytics (Belgium); Endobios Biotech (Portugal); Flamac (Belgium); Fraunhofer CBP (Germany); INN-PRESSME; Kuwait Petroleum Research and Technology (Belgium); Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry (Latvia); Tectero (Belgium); VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd (Finland).
The matchmaking are one-on-one meetings of 15 minutes aimed at finding new partners. The scheduling of these meetings will be supported by an online matchmaking system, easy to use on a smartphone or laptop.
All participants will have full control of their own communications and 1-on-1 meetings via a secure login account. The software enables event attendees to pre-arrange business partnering meetings of 15 minutes each arranged around 20 matchmaking tables.
The matchmaking tool will be activated by the end of August. All registered participants will then receive a login and a password so they can start scheduling their meetings.
