G-STIC is a series of conferences that aim to accelerate the development, dissemination and deployment of technological innovations that enable the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The fourth edition of this conference series will be organised from October 26 to 29, 2020 as a hybrid event: live in Brussels for a limited number of participants, and online for everyone.

G-STIC aims to accelerate the development, dissemination and deployment of technological innovations that enable the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). G-STIC is focused on building knowledge bases and global expert networks to support the technological transitions that are needed for the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

G-STIC facilitates the co-design and co-production of knowledge and solutions that are needed to implement the climate change agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, by fostering collaboration among Sustainable Technology & Innovation communities.

G-STIC is hosted jointly by VITO (the prime research and technology organization on cleantech and sustainable development in Belgium) and 6 other not-for-profit independent technology research institutes: ACTS (African Centre for Technology Studies, Kenya), FIOCRUZ (Fundação Oswaldo Cruz; Brazil), GIEC (Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, China), IITD (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India), NACETEM (National Centre for Technology Management, Nigeria) and TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute, India).
