The Global Sustainable Technology & Innovation Community (G-STIC) is a series of conferences that aim to accelerate the development, dissemination and deployment of technological innovations that enable the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2023 edition of the G-STIC conference will be organised as a hybrid event, 13-15 February in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil and online.

G-STIC aims to accelerate the development, dissemination and deployment of technological innovations that enable the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). G-STIC is focused on building knowledge bases and global expert networks to support the technological transitions that are needed for the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

G-STIC facilitates the co-design and co-production of knowledge and solutions that are needed to implement the climate change agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, by fostering collaboration among Sustainable Technology & Innovation communities.

G-STIC is hosted jointly by VITO (the prime research and technology organization on cleantech and sustainable development in Belgium) and 6 other not-for-profit independent technology research institutes: CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, South Africa), FIOCRUZ (Fundação Oswaldo Cruz; Brazil), GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Korea), GIEC (Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, China), NACETEM (National Centre for Technology Management, Nigeria) TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute, India) and SDSN (Sustainable Development Solutions Network, France/New York).
