Successful applicants will receive a free Access All Areas pass for the Congress and will have the chance to compete for the John Sime Award for the most impressive innovation presentation.

Application criteria

Presentations should be truly innovative, close to market and ambitious, compared to what is already available. They should concern the development of bio-based products or processes which respond to current consumer, environmental and/or societal demands or which have new functionalities, compared to fossil based equivalents.

Applicants should be willing and available to participate in and present at one of the EFIB Innovation Track sessions, should they be selected, on 17 or 18 October in Toulouse, France. As the John Sime award for innovation is presented to the best presentation in this category, as selected by the audience via the event app, applicants should be available to join the closing plenary session on the afternoon of 18 October.
