With this collaboration, both parties strengthen the footprint of experimental facilities at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in the field of polymeric material testing and material processing. Such facilities are highly relevant to support the development of innovative and sustainable materials for the industry, both SME’s and large enterprises.

The collaboration will enhance the availability of equipment for both parties, but will also facilitate efficient execution of projects for industry, in particular when students are involved.

According tot Peter Engelen, director of CHILL, both parties share the long term vision, ‘that open collaboration and shared facilities will speed up time to new technologies for our industrial partners. With this collaboration CHILL can make an even better connection between students and industry, this improves knowledge and talent development. Brightlands Materials Center will provide CHILL with relevant expertise in the field of polymeric materials that can strengthen our offering for our partners.’
