Brightlands Chemelot Campus also announced an additional investment in the centre to fuel innovation and the transition toward sustainable value chains.

Brightsite’s Managing Director, Arnold Stokking, acknowledged the Province of Limburg’s crucial support in the centre’s first five years. “Their backing allowed us to grow into a unique knowledge hub, blending fundamental and experimental research for real-world impact.”

Since its founding in 2019, Brightsite has achieved breakthroughs like the development of plasma technology and launched initiatives such as the Circular Engineering bachelor’s program, whose first graduates celebrated success this year.

The partnership renewal and investment reflect the urgency of sustainability transitions in the chemical sector. “This strengthened collaboration not only supports Brightsite but also reinforces Brightlands Chemelot Campus as a leading innovation hub,” noted Astrid Boeijen, CEO of Brightlands Chemelot Campus.

Looking ahead, Brightsite remains focused on advancing climate-neutral technologies and fostering sustainable feedstocks and processes. “Our mission is clear: creating solutions that make a global impact,” said Stokking.
