Lucien Joppen has been editor-in-chief of Agro & Chemie and Agro & Chemistry, writing both dutch and english articles, and has also been responsible for the creation of the magazine.

He has a background in journalism, related to food retail and industrial food production, and has also been editor-in-chief of Elsevier Food Industry and Food Engineering & Ingredients.

Lucien is particularly interested in the economic, technological and social aspects of the transition to a bio-based / circular economy.
