Karin has great passion and ambition in making large-scale transitions with sustainable impact. She worked for Nevi for more than 15 years as Manager of Social Programmes and Coordinator of the United Nations Alliance SDG 12 Sustainable Consumption and Production.
As Chair of the Dutch NEN standards committee ISO-20400, the international guideline for Sustainable Procurement, she represented both Dutch interests and those of 45 foreign purchasing associations that are members of IFPSM (International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management). For NEN (in collaboration with Nevi), she was the developer and has also taught the ISO 20400 Socially Responsible Procurement training since the launch of this guideline in 2016.
