Bioeconomy Ventures aim is to create a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem in the bio-industry sector bridging the gap between science, policy and people. They will act as a meeting point for the entrepreneurs and the investors’ communities (business angels; ventures capitalists), the project fosters their interaction and networking to relevant stakeholders.

Earlier this month, Bio Ventures launched a new digital matchmaking platform as an accessible way for start-ups, spin-offs, scale-ups and SMEs to get in touch with investors.

BioVale will organise at least two pitching and networking sessions in the Yorkshire and Humber region. The goal is to boost European entrepreneurship at a local level by connecting start-ups, investors and to engage them with the Bioeconomy Ventures platform. The first pitch fest will take place on Thursday 9th June 2022 in York.
