Chemport Europe is organizing a series of free webinars in the run-up to the major live event Chemport Connect on 17 November. On 28 October, the subject will be 'European developments towards biodegradable polymers – a value chain perspective.'

In the transition towards a manufacturing industry that uses more biobased polymers and fewer microplastics, the EU is taking a leading role in setting up a policy route and legislative infrastructure. During this webinar, we will approach this transition from a value chain perspective.

Valentina Bertato from the European Commission’s Directorate General (DG) for the Environment will talk about the most recent developments on policy and legislative action surrounding intentionally added microplastics.

Gerard Nijhoving (CEO Senbis Polymer Innovations), will then talk about how they are working on developing biodegradable solutions in response to these industry challenges.

The end-user of these biobased solutions also play a vital role in the transition; therefore one of the end-users will give their vision on the importance & challenges surrounding biobased alternatives. At the end of the webinar, there will be 30 minutes to discuss industry & EU developments.

Registration for this webinar is free, but remember to also buy your ticket for the live event on November the 17th for only € 50,-!
