Objective: testing biobased food packaging

European consortium looking for partner in the food industry

A European consortium of knowledge institutions and companies in the field of the packaging industry is looking for a food producer who wants to test and demonstrate biobased packaging, TKI Agri & Food reports.

The consortium is working on a project proposal for the call “Superior Bio-Based Packaging solutions with minimal environmental damage” within the program of the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU).

Deadline for submitting the project proposal is 3 September 2020. The budget for the intended project amounts to a maximum of € 7 million, whereby up to 70% of the costs can be subsidized.
