Biosuccinic acid is a platform chemical with applications in a series of large-volume markets. The activities, customers and factory of Reverdia in Cassano (Italy) are completely taken over by Roquette. That will produce Biosuccinium under license from DSM, which originally developed the technology.

CEO Marcel Lubben left Reverdia earlier this month; he became general manager of Synvina, the company of Avantium that focuses on the commercialization of FDCA and PEF.
