One of the key challenges in the transition towards a bioeconomy is access to funding in order to scale up promising concepts. To adress this challenge, the Agriculture Council at the Netherlands Embassy to Belgium is organizing an event in Brussels on October 8th, called 'Financing the Bioeconomy: from Bottleneck to Breakthrough'.

The event will bring together Benelux companies active in the bio-economy, public and private investors and lenders, and EI and Benelux decision makers to discuss this topical issue and to identify possible ways forward.

The program includes speakers from the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Bio-Base Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) and a number of biobased companies who have experienced the challenges of financing in practice.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. English will be the main language.
