Plastic is THE material for toys and leisure products. It should be as healthy and sustainable as possible - children play every day. The transition from fossil to renewable feedstocks for plastic manufacture is offering a wealth of opportunities!

That’s what bio!TOY is about, the two-day conference in the toy city of Germany, Nuremberg on 27 and 28 March. Key areas to be addressed are:

  • Supply: Biobased PE, PP, PET, TPE, PLA, compounds & fillers
  • Toys: Products, early adopter experiences, strategies & marketing
  • Framework: Standards, legislation, QM, labels & claims
  • #functional #durable #safe #innovative #recyclable #renewable #sustainable #FUN

Whilst conventional plastics are being confronted with many weaknesses, biobased / biodegradable plastics enjoy a momentum of increased interest – and this is likely to continue. The conference shall inspire players and partnerships: 21 presentations, a high-level podium discussion, a table-top exhibition and a communication programme will serve this goal.
