With funding the European Horizon 2020 programme, Rehab is developing methods to convert natural wastes into sustainable polyurethanes. These can be used to develop insulation foams and adhesives, as well as fire retardant products. Another objective is to develop new high-performance bio-resins to produce eco-friendly wooden panels. Also, eco-friendly sustainable cement with improved properties will be developed.
By using these materials to build an eco-friendly and weatherproof construction, Rehap wants to prove the value of their novel materials in real life, and show how they can contribute to a green building sector.
