On 10 and 11 December 2019, more than 1,500 chemists from science and industry gather together for the 7th edition of the Dutch chemistry conference CHAINS.

CHAINS is powered by NWO Domain Science, Topsector Chemistry, KNCV, InnovatieLink, VNCI and KNAW.

On Tuesday December 10 there will be lectures by Frances Arnold (Caltech, USA), Robert Tampé (Goethe University, Germany), Marjolein Dijkstra (UU, the Netherlands), Sophia Haussener (EPFL, Switzerland) and Helma Wennemers (ETH, Switzerland) . There are also poster sessions and the KNCV Gold Medal is awarded. In the evening after dinner there is a plenary lecture by Lee Cronin (University of Glasgow, UK).

On Wednesday 11 December there will be various parallel, focus and poster sessions. In the afternoon there are key note presentations by Ineke Braakman (UU, the Netherlands), Alexander Boeker (IAP, Germany), Marc Koper (LEI, the Netherlands), Ali Alavi (Cambridge / MPI, UK / Germany) and Craig Hawker (UCSB, US).
